Born in Pontiac, Michigan and raised in Southern California, I've lived and worked in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1994.

I spent six years in the US Navy working as a nuclear power engineer onboard an aircraft carrier. In 1998 I changed careers and became a filmmaker. I have a BFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and graduated as the Valedictorian out of 900 students.

I've produced, directed, photographed and edited more than 100 film and video projects since 1998 including: commercials, music videos, corporate videos, short films and feature films.

As a DIRECTOR I've worked with a wide range of personalities and ages including children. I believe I can empathize and communicate clearly with actors to bring out the best performance.

As a WRITER I've written dozens of screenplays including shorts, features and corporate videos. I also teach a screenwriting workshop. You can read a creative corporate video example HERE.

As a CINEMATOGRAPHER, or Director of Photography, I've shot both film and video. I also know the tricks to making video look more like film including: depth of field, color correction, lighting techniques, framing and movement.

As an EDITOR I've worked with most of the editing systems out there. I'm also very well versed with Adobe After Effects, including adding motion, effects, color correction and compositing green and blue screens.

As a PRODUCER I bring the discipline and organization learned as a naval nuclear power engineer. There are few processes in the world with the level of quality assurance that the nuclear power industry requires.

I offer very competitive rates and can meet most budgets. I also offer very low rental rates for my GEAR when I'm hired onto a project.
